![]() ![]() The ending here is not a cliffhanger, but it seems abrupt. A crime is committed, then we get all the fall out and it's never what we could possibly predict, but it makes sense. While 5 stars means amazing here at Goodreads, I would be hard put to call any book amazing, so I'll say it's really 4.5 stars. We also get a quick cameo from a character in Duke City Hit. It's now a year later and Pam and Hector's relationship has changed. It was nice having some repeat characters. Dylan's life is further complicated by Doc throwing him under the bus to the Feds, Pam and Hector, back from Duke City Split. This sets off the usual cascade of "what can possibly happen next?!?" moments I've come to expect in this series.
